Walden, a game wins Game of the Year

We're very excited to announce that Walden, a game was honored with two awards at the Games for Change Festival in New York: Game of the Year and Most Significant Impact. Games for Change is the leading international event uniting game creators with those who believe in the positive power of digital games. Their game awards laud educational games, innovative games, and ones that provide great gameplay while improving the lives of their players. As long time participants at the conference, it is real honor for the Walden team to have been selected for these awards!

Walden featured in the press

The launch of Walden, a game has been covered in a number of press venues, including USA Today (Learn to 'live deliberately' with 'Walden' game on Thoreau's birthday), Salon (In defense of Solitaire, the “perfect game”: Mindfulness, video games and the importance of downtime), and the New York Times (In ‘Walden’ Video Game, the Challenge Is Stillness).

We were reviewed recently by Common Sense Media which sums up our game as "beautiful" and concludes that "you would be hard-pressed to name another game that's more peaceful, calm, or will make you think about how you should spend more time outdoors."
